About Victory Community Care Services

 

Vision

Victory community Care Services came into existence as vision of our church and a network of other churches to meet the needs of a person holistically as we obey to carry on the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, so that the people residing in the community may prosper and be in good health just as their souls prospers.

 

 

Mission

We fulfill this mandate in the communities, using integrated programs and services, working as a team in planning, mobilizing resources, and developing programmes that will bring spiritual and socio- economic transformation in the communities hence empowering people to stand on their own to fight diseases, poverty and other social evils in the community. This is done without prejudice or favor, giving respect and dignity to all participants.

Purpose

Our Purpose is to demonstrate God’s love in building stronger communities of believers through faith, innovations and compassionate services.

The objectives for which the organization is established are

(a) To provide a Christ centered services for the relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution  of people, and to work proactively to enhance the physical, social, emotional and spiritual well-being of people, in the communities without discrimination due to age, sex, race, ethnic background, religion, political beliefs or marital status.

(b) To develop a sustainable indigenous capacity of the communities so as to carry out programs that will bring social economic and spiritual transformation such as setting up community gardens.

(c) To help the children who are orphans, destitute, and the needy, to experience transformation and wholeness through God's love by providing basic needs to the most vulnerable children in the community so as to raise a new generation of committed and faithful leaders of our community and nation.

(d) To empower communities through training, mentoring, teaching and preaching  so that people may acquire knowledge and skills in order to utilize God given resources hence reducing poverty, ignorance, diseases and combating  escalating dependence syndrome.

(e) Fostering to change the social-traditional beliefs and practices that have caused the people of this community to lag behind in development. Beliefs like dependence syndrome, looking at women as “burden bearers” girls as a source of wealth, among others.

(f) Train and make disciples to share the love of God in the communities and to foster a multiplication of disciples in other communities so as to keep progress of meeting spiritual, and social - economical needs of our communities.

(g) To network with organizations that aim at improving the social- economical welfare of the people of Uganda and Kabale in particular.
